Fraxel Laser Treatments Eliminate Skin Issues

Published on October 20, 2017

We all face skin problems like pigmentation, acne, fine lines, and wrinkles. Many simply live with these issues and continue to feel self-conscious. However, some people take matters into their own hands and seek out the help of cosmetic procedures.

Fraxel laser treatments can help you with all the aforementioned skin problems related to aging, bringing back the youthful face that you had, along with a charming glow that is very pleasing.

What Is Fraxel Laser Treatment?

Fraxel laser treatment is a method that is used to treat the prominent signs of aging on our faces such as fine lines, wrinkles, pigmentation, and so on. These problems can affect our confidence levels and make us lose our self-esteem. Fraxel uses ablative as well as non-ablative methods to cure these problems and to reduce their appearance.

Why Should You Choose Fraxel Laser Treatment?

Along with aging come several unwanted factors that affect us and make us lose our confidence due to our appearance. A number of skin issues such as pigmentation and fine lines make an appearance on our faces; these problems can be combated with the help of Fraxel laser treatment.

If any of the following describes the way you feel or look, then the Fraxel laser treatment is the choice for you:

• You can see fine lines and wrinkles on your face.
• Your skin is experiencing pigmentation issues.
• The lines are more prominent when you smile or make other facial expressions.
• You try to cover all these signs of aging with make-up.
• You think you look older than you feel.
• You feel like your skin issues are affecting your quality of life.
• You want a treatment that effectively reduces the visibility of these problems.

The Procedure

Before you go ahead with the procedure, you’ll need to come in for a consultation. You will tell your surgeon your medical history and the medications you take. Depending on this information, he may ask you to stop taking certain medications.

Before the treatment, the area to be treated is cleaned. A numbing cream is applied on the area to minimize any discomfort you might feel during the procedure. After the skin has been numbed for about an hour, the cream is removed and laser is moved over the area to be treated.

The laser creates microthermal zones in the skin that remove damaged skin and replace it with new unblemished skin. The laser triggers the body’s natural healing process and increases the production of collagen.

Recovery

Your surgeon will give you various instructions that will help you take care of your skin after the laser treatment. You will be advised to avoid strenuous activities and not use hot water on your face for a time. You will also be advised to wear sunscreen and to avoid prolonged periods of heavy sun exposure to help protect your face.
