Dawna Dennis, PA-C

dawna dennis, PA-CDawna Dennis, PA-C joined the practice in January 2021. She has been a Physician Assistant for 15 years, and in addition to dermatology, has experience in plastic surgery and urgent care practices. As a dermatology PA she treats adults and children for various conditions of the skin, hair and nails, as well as skin cancer exams. Dawna has a special interest in cosmetic laser treatments and neurotoxins such as botox and dysport. She is also experienced at minor surgical procedures and closures. Dawna loves the patient education involved in being a physician assistant. She strives to make sure patients leave the office feeling well informed, with an understanding of their medical condition and the treatment plan.

Dawna graduated with a MS of PA studies from Western University of Health Science in California in 2006. Originally from Idaho, she graduated from the University of Idaho as a track and field student athlete with a double major in molecular biology and biochemistry. She worked in a research setting in immunology for several years before going to PA school. Dawna and her husband have three daughters and live in the Yorktown area. Dawna is an active member of the community and volunteers with the Garden of Hope community garden supporting the local food banks and is a foster for Rock n’ Rescue pet rescue. In her free time she enjoys hiking, biking, camping, reading and spending time with her family.

Dear Patients,

Westchester Center for Dermatology hopes you and your family are staying safe and minimizing your out-of-home activities. In that light, we would like to offer a Teledermatology option.

This service will allow patients to continue their care with the physicians they know while staying safe in the comfort of their own home.
