Henry Yan, PA-CHenry Yan is a nationally certified Physician Assistant (PA-C), and prior to coming to the United States he was an attending Dermatology physician and an assistant professor in the First Hospital of China Medical University (Shenyang, China).

After obtaining his M.D. degree in China, Henry joined the Dermatology residency program for four years and the Dermatology fellowship program for two years at China Medical University (Shenyang, China). During these six years, he was well trained in Clinical Dermatology, Dermatopathology, and Dermatologic Surgery. After finishing his Dermatology Fellow Program, he joined the Department of Dermatology in the First Hospital of China Medical University as an attending physician and an assistant professor, teaching and working on the Clinical Dermatology, Dermatologic Surgery and Dermatopathology. In 1997, Henry was invited as a visiting researcher to come to the United States and join the Melanoma immunotherapy research program led by Dr. David Berd at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania) and continued his research at the University of Maryland Medical Center (Baltimore, Maryland).

Henry greatly loves clinical Dermatology and in order to work as a clinical dermatologist in the United States, upon finishing his research project, he went to the Physician Assistant Program in Mercy College (Dobbs Ferry, New York) and obtained his M.S degree as Physician Assistant. He compassionately serves and cares for his patients with his vast clinical experiences and knowledge.

Henry loves to spend time with his family including his wife, two sons, daughter, and pet dog. He also enjoys playing soccer, reading with his children and being outdoors, especially in his vegetable garden. Henry’s a great believer in eating and living healthy, and greatly encourages his patients to do the same.
